Finding a Rhythm

For those of you who have been following me for awhile, you know I have been in the process of planting a church in Elkins,WV. It has been a wonderful experience, strenuous at times, but wonderful nonetheless.

My family and I are going strong and excited about what the future holds.

The main issue I have faced is finding a good rhythm. I have been writing sermons, getting used to preaching every Sunday, planning future events, developing teaching series, and much more.

All of it has been incredible, but I do know that in the process, I have let this blog go a bit.

It definitely isn’t a bad thing to put this to the side while I work on the church plant, however, there was something missing for me in not writing.

Now, I am glad to say, that I feel like I have found a good rhythm.

We all have important projects at hand. We all have deadlines. We all have goals.

What you will come to realize, if you haven’t already, is you will need to sacrifice noble activities, in order to complete other noble tasks.

Writing books, blog posts, public speaking, etc. are all noble tasks, but the church plant is my number one priority, apart from my family which will always take precedence over any of the activities I am in.

I had to step back for a few months on my posts and allow time to adjust to a new pace.

Here I am, back at it. I may not post as much as I did in the past, but I will be posting at least once a week.

I am also working on a couple new books, that I hope to complete by the end of the year, if not sooner.

There is a lot going on and I am glad to have you on the journey with me.
